Diamond Ranch Quilt
As the buffalo disappeared, Northern plains Indians of Montana and the Dakota replaced buffalo robes with quilts. One of their most recognizable designs is Morning Star, adapted in the late 1800s from the traditional Lone Star pattern. Covering most of the quilt top, its eight-point design was extremely difficult to create-the mosaic of tiny diamonds radiating out from the center took long hours of careful cutting, perfect placement and skillful hand-stiching. 100% cotton. Machine washable. Imported. Standard sham fits 20 in. x 26 in. pillow.
