Gentelmen:

Would you happen to have a flyer that you could send me pertaining to your jackets and other clothing you might have in your woolen mill?

Many years ago I purchased a red wool jacket at your mill and it is still as good as it was the day I bought it. I would say it is at least twenty five years old and that is quite a record I believe. I remember also buying a lovely black purse there; however, that is gone now. What excellent things you have!

I do hope that you have a catalog that you can send me. Than you for your excellent workmanship.

Sincerely,
Mrs Harry A. Trobaugh

Dear Bill,

Thank you so much for the "Over the Top" customer service. Calling your "800" number at 8:30pm and having you answer was surprising (I expected an automated answering system), but so pleasing to me. You took care of me and my needs for a "Tall" Boy Scout Jacket like no other company would. Being a very active Scouter in your troup, District and Council, rest assures others will know about the Bemidji Woolen Mills. I hope I can reply your generosity many times over with referrals.

Best Wishes,

Informational Request:

I just wanted to let you know that the Voyager Jac Coats we ordered for the Boy Scout Troop arrived the other day in good order. When you indicated htat you felt you had a better quality product than your rivial, Woolrich, you were certainly not kidding. One of the boys had the Woolrich version so we could do a side-by-side comparison. The long and short of it was that there is no comparison. The Bemidji Woolen Mills product is heavier, better constructed, and of much better overall quality than the Woolrich. Thanks for your help in getting these, and I am sure we will be ordering more.

Hi Bill,

I want to thank you for the super tour that you gave us a couple of weeks ago. Our friends said it was the highlight of their trip to Northern Minnesota. It is hard to believe that it has been 27 years since you helped me on my journey to The State Senate.

May be it is your turn to run for The Senate, and I will be your campaign manager.

Thanks Bill

Bill,

Many thanks for all your time and help- and mostly for the trust you displayed in finalizing this transaction-So very nice!

Bemidji Woolen Mills,

I'm a frequent visitor to the Boundary Waters canoe area and I've been searching literally everywhere for a buffalo bled shirt in a yellow color, to wear on my upcoming fall canoe trip. I've searched every store I could think of, I have searched eBay, and I've searched tons of other websites, but I hadn't found what I was looking for.

Then it dawned on me, who made the shirt-Jac I bought in Ely? I looked at the tag and saw that it was Bemidji Woolen Mills. After a very short interest search I found bemidjiwool.com, and learned that the shirt Jac the I have owned and loved for years was none other than the "Paul Bunyan Jac Shirt" shown on the website. And just below that I found my yellow buffalo plaid shirt, after months of searching.

I called the number and ordered my shirt ("Heavy weight Wool Shirt," Gold/Black) around noon yesterday (7/18), and I was quite pleasantly surprise to see it arrive this afternoon (7/19), just barely 24 hours after placing the order.

The shirt is absolutely perfect. It fits great and is made extremely well; it is exactly what I'd been looking for.

I wanted to thank you for your excellent and courteous customer service, and for the very speedy delivery. It is nice to deal with a company who cares about and values its customers; sadly it seems that that's become a rare thing these days. I'll be highly recommending Bemidji Woolen Mills to everyone I know.

If it would be at all possible to receive a printed catalog, l would really appreciate one, as I know this won't be my last purchase.

Thank you very much,
Joel Enochson

Dear Bemidji,

I was doing a medical clinic in Lochgilphead on the West Coast of Scotland and a distinguished gent sat down wearing a very handsome woolen jacket - one of yours! Do you do more order - if so I'd be very grateful if you could send me a catalogue so that I too could be the owner of a fine piece of stuff.

Thanks!

Yours sincerely,

Dear Mr. Batchelder,

The 2006 National Association Industry-Specific Training Directors Conference in Duluth has come and gone - and its success is owed in part to your generosity and kindness. The woolen cabin throws were exceptional and our organization truly appreciated your donation of the Paul Bunyan wool coat - it made the conference a most memorable experience!

My associate, Business & Industry Services Manager for Minnesota State Colleges and Universities, Amy Yerkes, speaks very highly of you and will not let me forget your kindness. Attendees knew very little about ''northern'' Minnesota and were delighted in the items donated and/or purchased for the conference at a significantly lower rate. Others were intrigued by the wild rice soup mixes and anxious to try them at home. A1l of your quality products and thoughtfulness into catering a northern-cabin feeling with Minnesota-based products assisted in making this conference one of the best. Please accept our gratitude and best wishes for the future.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Good Afternoon Bill,

I really appreciate good service and wanted to tell you that your company is true to its word about good customer service. I ordered slippers for my Dad last week and today I ordered him a second pair from your store because I was so impressed with your service. The woman I talked with on the phone last week was so helpful, kind, and polite-and responsive. The slippers were delivered to my Dad two days later as she promised. As I explained to her, my Dad's old Acorn slippers were worn out and he was in the hospital so the Issue became more urgent.

I originally ordered two pairs of these slippers on July 4th from another store. As of today, they have yet to be delivered. The company did not respond to my many e-mail requests for information. I called on 3 occasions - the phone was always busy and when they answered I was put on hold for 15 minutes or more each time - and, sill the slippers were not shipped as promised. I was happy to cancel that order.

Thank you for job, well done
Kathy

Dear Sirs,

I was with a group from Faith Lutheran Church in Wolverton, MN that received a tour of your factory and the store in October of this year. It was an interesting and enjoyable day and I want to thank you for the time you gave us.

The other reason I was writing is because a few weeks after I was in Bemidji, I attended an auction and purchased box with what I thought was 1 wool bat. I bought it without having looked at it first but since it sold for only $6, I felt that if it wasn't any good, I wasn't out too much.

However, when l looked into the box there were 2 wool bats, in perfect condition and apparently in the original box it was shipped in. I am enclosing a copy of a receipt that I found dated 1958 and also copies of the mailing label and stamps indicating it cost $ 0.43 to ship.

l guess I find it interesting to have purchased these wool bats shortly after visiting your facility and finding the information enclosed. I hope you find this of some interest.

Thanks!

Yours sincerely,

Hello Bill,

A week or so ago I ordered several items from your catalog. I was surprised when you answered the phone, told me who you were and took my order. I have received my order and wanted to tell you how pleased I am with the quality of your product. I have owned garments made by all the major mills, i.e. Filson, Johnson, Woolrich, and can honestly tell you that they do not come close to Bemidji in the combination of quality and price. Congratulations to you and your employees for continuing to make your products here in America. I wish you every success in the future and may your great grandchildren continue to run your mill.

Sincerely,
Jack Yazinski

John,

I did receive the coat OK. I thought I'd just drop you a line to let you know, but also to mention it was definitely worth the wait. It's a well constructed hunting coat, just right. Not having previous experience with the brand, nor an opportunity to try one on before buying. I'm quit pleased with the outcome.

Doing business with Rivendell

So, I've been doing business with Rivendell from the beginning and even before (in its previous BOB incarnation). Just got another order and (as usual) I find that your products are usually even better than you advertise them to be! In this case the Buffalo check shirt - truely an amazing thing. I have several of these by another maker, and this one is at least twice as dense, has a much better hand and smells like good wool without being lanolinitiously stinky about it.

Thanks for the great work you do designing, making, having made etc. good products with a commitment to quality. It makes my corner of the world just a little bit nicer place to be.

Tim

Dear Bill:

Thanks for the nice note! And thank for the tag from one of blankets. The blankets look like they're especially nice!

I thought I'd tell you briefly how I know about Bemidji Woolen Mills.

My parents bought 20 acres of lake front property near Park Rapids in the early 1950s. They built a summer cottage on the property where we spent every summer. It was during the polio epidemic of the fifties, and Mom and Dad wanted to get the four (I have three older sisters) of us away from crowds. The day after school ended we drove up to the cottage and we didn't return home (Topeka, Kansas) until the day before school started.

Mother always told us that Hudson Bay blankets were the best wool blankets! Mother bought Hudson Bay blankets from the Bemidji Woolen Mill for a couple of the beds at the cottage. One of the beds that had Hudson Bay blanket was my bed! Every summer she took the four of us to the mill where she bought us each a sweater for back-to-school and, sometimes she bought wool fabric to make us some winter clothes, as well. (Mother was an excellent seamstress!) Our visit to the woolen mill was always highlighting at summer's end!

In 1997 my husband, Bill, and I built our home here in Buena-vista, Colorado. We have 3 guest bedrooms in addition to our master bedroom. Three of our bedrooms have queen sized beds - all of which are covered by Hudson Bay blankets - purchased from Bemidji Woolen Mills. The last bedroom our"dorm" room for grandchildren and other guests. It has two sets of blank beds in it and each bed is covered by a camp blanket - purchased from the woolen mill, as well.

Occasionally, we still vacation in Minnesota. In 2004 we camped at Itasca State Park. My eldest sister and her husband and one of their sons joined us, and two of my husband's granddaughters. Of course, all had to visit the Bemidji Woolen Mills!

I have many fond memories of Bemidji Woolen Mills! It's part of my heritages!

Thanks!

Sincerely,
Christine
