Aunt Sophie's Place in Northern Minnesota
Aunt Sophie's Place is a peninsula
in northern Minnesota where the
eagle's nest, the hummingbirds
dance, the lady slippers grow, the
ducks eat from your hand, and a
big old snapping turtle lives under
the dock. Aunt Sophie aids for
worms and saints for minnows so
she can fish with the lions and the
herons. The chipmunks eat out of
her pocket, and she gives a special
gift of good luck, to catch a really
big fish.
