Corn Tortilla Soup

We regularly send this mix to customers in Texas. From Minnesota. That's how good this soup is.
Simmer the package ingredients with 4 cups water and two cups of tomatoes for 15 minutes. I use my home canned tomatoes, but a 15-oz can of crushed or diced tomatoes—or tomato sauce—will work just as well. Crumble a handful of plain tortilla chips in each soup mug or bowl. Ladle soup over the chips, garnish with shredded cheese, and serve.
Ready in 20 minutes. Package makes 8 cups of soup.
